Proverbs
A Running Commentary on the Book of Proverbs
15:11
Sheol and Abaddon lie open before Yahweh, how much more the hearts of the sons of men!
If Yahweh knows even the depths of death which is the furthest thing from Him, how much more the depths of your heart which lies closer to heaven where He sits.
17:11
A rebellious man seeks only evil, so a cruel messenger will be sent against him.
You reap what you sow. When you seek evil, do not be surprised when evil seeks you.
21:6
Working for treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting breath, by those who pursue death.
To pursue by means of sin is to pursue death as the end, for the wages of sin, is death.
Sin suffocates, suffocating you of your very life till you’re gasping for your last breath and your lying tongue can lie no more.
